FILM PROCESSING

Black & White Film Processing & Proof Prints: We hand process film using HC 110 chemistry for Dip and Dunk or Tank processing. Call for other options requiring special developers and archival film processing.

Black & White Proof Sheets: We offer archival film processing for an additional 30%. When washing the developed negative, a mixture of hypo-clearing agent and selenium is used to ensure film longevity. The film is then washed in a water bath for a longer duration. There is not enough selenium to change the tones of the negative. For example, HABS(Historic American Building Survey)/HAER(Historic American Engineering Record) preservation projects require archival film and paper processing standards.

BLACK & WHITE PRINTS

Black & White RC Prints: We use Ilford RC Deluxe paper. Each print is cropped, burned and dodged per your specifications and spotted for our dust.

Black & White Fiber Base Prints: We use Ilford Multigrade fiber papers that are printed to your specifications, air dried, and flattened in our vacuum press. Prints are given a hypo-clearing agent and selenium bath to ensure image longevity. There is not enough selenium in the wash to alter the tones of the image like a full selenium toning. Prints smaller than 16x20 are washed in a tank. Prints larger than 16x20 are given five still-water baths in large stainless steel tanks.
